Smooth Out A Rocky Financial Path

Pauline ElphinstoneThere’s a lot of doom and gloom being spouted around lately and it seems everywhere you look there is mention of the world financial crisis and rightly so. It’s an event that hasn’t been seen before in most of our lifetimes. All of this constant bad news and repeated financial warnings can and has sent people into a panic, worrying about their future. Again this is a natural reaction, although it is a harmful one.

As many commentators have mentioned, it’s best to keep a cool head and ride out the storm. To help those of you who are wondering which way to turn at the moment I thought I’d outline a few ways in which feng shui can help you to smooth out a rocky financial path.

Tip 1.

There is no need to panic; in fact panic is positively harmful! If you start to take on board the hype and worry about all of the horrible things that could happen to you, you’ll attract those bad things to you. Like attracts like. Negative thoughts create negative energy and attract negative happenings. Trust that you will always have enough money for your needs and go about tidying up your financial matters and cutting out unnecessary spending calmly and sensibly.

Tip 2.

You’ve all heard the saying it takes money to make money: in theory it’s true. If you have success you will attract more success. If you look successful you’ll be successful and if your home looks well cared for and well presented, you’ll attract more prosperity luck and energy than you will with a run down and neglected home. If you can’t afford to make over your home, don’t worry. Little things like fixing what doesn’t work and a lick of paint can give you a new positive opinion of your home as well as change it’s energy and your luck.

Tip 3.

Avoid the temptation to cling to what you have. If you hold on too tight to things out of fear, you create negative energy and you don’t allow better things to come into your life. This can refer to possessions people and money. If you hold on to stuff just in case you might need it one day, you are operating on the assumption that you won’t be able to buy another. This does a couple of things: it clutters up your house, blocks positive energy and creates an uncomfortable and unappealing environment (see point 1).

It also creates a poverty mentality. If you think you won’t have any money in future, that’s what you’ll get. The best thing to do is to relax, have faith that things will get better and continue to cycle things out when you no longer need them.

As I mentioned this also goes for money. Which brings me back to no.1 again. You have to keep the cycle of life going as normal. As money goes out, money will come back in. As possessions and things leave you, others will take their place. The universe hates a vacuum, so if you make some space in your life it will be filled with something new. If you cling to the money you have, to scared to spend any of it, you are cementing the belief that no more will come your way: back to the poverty mentality once again.

Positive Energy Flow

Look, there are many things you can do in your home to create a positive energy flow to help smooth out financial problems, but I’ll leave you with my favourite. It’s simple but I find it works for many people.

Keep a jar or piggy bank near your front door so that every time you come home you can pop your loose change in it. This helps to avoid the poverty mentality trap. Each time you see your piggy bank as you come and go, you will mentally reinforce the fact that you will always have money in the home. When you can feel more relaxed and secure about this fact, you’ll find the law of attraction will work with you. A positive money attitude attracts prosperity: a successful attitude attracts more success.
