A New Year. A New Start.
Hello to you all and I hope life is treating you well.
Holidays are coming up for many of us and it’s a chance to unwind and to reflect upon the year that was and plans for the year to come.
A new year always feels like a new start and a new chance to make a difference in your life, so reflection is very useful. Think of the great things that have happened to you throughout the year and how lucky you’ve been. Then, reflect on the lessons you’ve learned this year. They may have come from bad experiences but ultimately they give you a chance to gain more knowledge and become a better person- another reason to be grateful.
Don’t ever look back with regret. It does you no good at all.
Finally, think about what you’d like to achieve in the year to come. Make sure these are things you can work towards like getting a new job or making a certain amount of money. Smaller achievable goals can give you encouragement and momentum as you take the steps to make it happen and tick them off the list.
Planning to win the lotto, for example, or other things you can’t work towards or control, can only lead to disappointment.
For me it’s been a busy year of moving house, expanding into new areas and meeting hundreds of interesting people. Next year already is promising to bring some interesting new beginnings, so I’m quite excited and optimistic!
