Feng Shui Tip of the Month
Hello again. I hope the universe is treating you well.
Things have been pretty busy in my world for the last few months so I apologise for the delay in getting in touch. We have recently sold our house and so now the not so exciting task of packing and moving is upon us. It is however a great opportunity to de-clutter, so in that way it’s also rather liberating.
In light of these recent happenings in my life, I thought I’d talk about selling your home and include one of my recent articles on making changes in your life.

Selling your Home?
There is no doubt that real estate investment is something that is becoming less and less available to many people. Those of us who were lucky enough to get in before the latest boom may now be thinking of selling. But why do some houses sell quickly and others languish on the pages of realestate.com?
From a Feng Shui perspective, selling a home is a question of 3 things-
- Getting as many people as possible to see your property.
- Making your property desirable to others
- Making the property ‘available’
The first two points involve creating a positive energy flow to your home and within your home. A good Feng Shui environment will create an atmosphere in the home that all who enter will appreciate.
The third point involves more introspection and making sure you are ready to part with your beloved home.
A personal Feng Shui consultation can assist you with all of these points. For more information on selling your home, you can contact me at www.contemporaryfengshui.com.au or if you’re in Brisbane, check out

Do you Need a Change?
Change. It can inspire fear in the bravest of souls. It’s the fear of letting go of the known and the comfortable and opening yourself up to uncertainty. Most of us would admit to wanting change in some aspect of our lives, but are you ready to make it happen? The most challenging yet life-altering change you can make is to your way of thinking.
Those who’ve read “The Secret” would be aware of the power of positive thought, however little will change in your life if you don’t decide to back it up by getting off the couch and taking action. There is no magic potion. Feng Shui can help you create a positive environment and mindset but you still have to get the ball rolling.
So when you’ve decided something needs to change in your life, take the next step and actually make those changes. Whether it’s cleaning out your wardrobe, looking for a relationship or changing jobs - great things can happen. If you never allow yourself to try something new, you’ll never know what could have been. Remember, some of life’s most rewarding experiences, are often discovered by just taking a chance.

Workshops
I’ve had quite a few requests to hold Brisbane workshops over the past couple of months so hopefully you’ll find one near you in the not too distant future. If anyone is aware of suitable venues in the area, please let me know.
Watch the Workshops Page for announcements.

Feng Shui Tip of the Month
Maximise natural light.
It is the time of year where a lot of us are feeling miserable but there can be reasons other than the cold. In winter people tend to rug up and stay indoors and thus miss out on their usual dose of sunshine. Not only does sunlight provide us with vitamin D it is a known mood enhancer.
Natural light is also Yang and the cold and dark in Yin. By bringing more natural light into the home you are increasing the level of Yang, which in turn will improve your mood and increase energy levels.
You can maximise natural light by strategically placing mirrors near windows, using light catchers and installing skylights. It will also help with the power bills!!
